The only thing possible to do at this point would be to provide aid for the people that are goign through. Also to gather the communtity and raise money so that whoever this happens to they could at least go in a hotel for a couple nights for free.

That is a great thing that the community has raised enough for free hotel stays. For like Hurricane Katrina how people came together to help one another through the rough times, that what I feel should happen here. It already is starting to with the hotel stays, but that is just for a few nights, that some families might need more help than that.

With hurricanes, some families might be able to grab a few things that they recovered but with a fire families could lose everything that are in their houses. Not being able to do anything because everything was lost. It is a tragic thing to hear about but with communities coming together and other people donating could help a lot.

This is just one great thing about living in this country. Someone is always willing and devoted to going the extra mile to help out a stranger. The folks in Cal that go through this really needed a break and its great to see people stepping up to help.

Getting to Tommy's analogy sure maybe one hand full of sand will not help. I do think that if we all through in sand, which many currently do, then there is a chance of at least slowing that river
